Meet the Directors
Les Weiser or Uncle Les, a graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, has taught in suburban and city school systems. He has coached lacrosse and basketball, was a qualified athletic official, and has directed both private and community youth programs, day and overnight camps and was the founder of an independent school. Les has long experience in all phases of camping and has been a member of the Executive Board of the American Camping Association Keystone Section. He remains active in many community groups, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and is active in the Children's Hospital for the Middle East located in Tel Aviv. He also provides overall leadership for the entire camp community.
Maddy Weiser, Aunt Maddy or Dr. Maddy is a highly respected physician specializing in Pediatrics. She is a graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Board Certified Pediatrician with a sub-specialty in Developmental Pediatrics in private practice in the Main Line area of Philadelphia. You may often see Dr. Maddy on local and national television being consulted by networks regarding current pediatric issues. Aunt Maddy was also an outstanding athlete, earning All-American recognition in lacrosse and field hockey. She recently was inducted into the Haverford High School Sports Hall of Fame.
